The Artform
Godna Art is a traditional folk art form inspired by the ancient tattooing practices of the tribal communities of Chhattisgarh. Characterized by intricate geometric patterns, floral motifs, and symbolic designs, the art reflects themes of identity, protection, and cultural heritage. Once practiced as permanent body art, Godna motifs are now beautifully adapted onto paper, canvas, and textiles, preserving a centuries-old tradition through contemporary artistic expression.
