The Painting

The work presents an ambiguous organic form suspended within an open white field. A dark, insect-like shape anchors the lower portion while a pale, translucent body extends upward, connected by fine looping lines. Small touches of blue, yellow, and earthy tones interrupt the largely monochromatic surface. The contrast between delicate washes and sharp linear marks creates a sense of movement and fragility, allowing the image to hover between a biological specimen, a living organism, and an imagined interior landscape.

These works belong to the contemporary works-on-paper and mixed-media drawing practice, combining Indian ink, natural pigments, pastel, graphite, charcoal, pencil, and water-soluble graphite on handmade paper and Khadi paper.
