The Painting

A large, translucent, suspended form occupies the centre of the composition, its soft contours built through graphite-like crosshatching and layered tonal washes. The form narrows toward the bottom and ends in a single dark drop, creating a quiet moment of tension. The restrained image focuses attention on weight, gravity, fragility, and the passage of time. Its ambiguity allows the form to be read simultaneously as a vessel, a bodily fragment, or an organic object undergoing change.

The Artform

These works belong to the contemporary works-on-paper and mixed-media drawing practice, combining Indian ink, natural pigments, pastel, graphite, charcoal, pencil, and water-soluble graphite on handmade paper and Khadi paper. The fluidity of ink and pigment is layered with delicate drawing and gestural marks, creating subtle textures, stains, washes, and organic forms. The artform uses line, abstraction, movement, and materiality to explore inner and emotional landscapes. Rather than relying on defined imagery, the works allow forms to emerge through fluid marks and textures, creating visual expressions of anxiety, uncertainty, memory, isolation, resilience, connection, and the changing relationship between the body and its surroundings.

The item will be delivered 7-10 days after the product is dispatched.The artwork price is exclusive of shipping charges and insurance. The artwork price is inclusive of 12% GST In the event that the product is rejected by our quality check team, you will be informed about the change of delivery date.
